Marvel History 141: Sgt. Fury # 7

Issue: Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos # 7
Writer: Stan Lee
Artist: Jack Kirby
Publication Date: May 1964
Brief Summary:

Sgt. Fury # 7

Commentary:

So, Fury takes matters into his own hands on a mission, and that results in a not-so-fun court-martial.

Gotta give Stan credit, though.  War stories aren't my bag to begin with, but at least Stan's mixing it up with a courtroom drama.

There's also a little bit of insight into Fury's shady gambling and womanizing past, and also they reference him being an orphan.  I'm hoping Stan explores Fury's background more in future issues.

The Parker in this issue seems to bear no relation to ole web-head.

Favorite Panel:

Apocalypse Now goes pink.
