Marvel History 254: Amazing Spider-Man # 25

Issue: Amazing Spider-Man # 25
Writer: Stan Lee
Artist: Steve Ditko
Publication Date: June 1965

Brief Summary:

Is this the first jump the shark moment in the adventures of young Spider-Man?  Perhaps.  J. Jonah Jameson suits up in a spidey-killing death robot.  Some would say that's taking their "friendly" rivalry a step too far.

I don't quite know how it's legal for Jameson to actively hunt a person through this horrible looking robot, but then again, I didn't really understand how Kraven could try to hunt down Spider-Man either.

More important than this is the almost-appearance of Mary Jane, although her face is concealed by a well placed plant in her debut panel.

Favorite Panel:

This one isn't making the cut for rogue's gallery all stars.
